Ava, a friend I got to know from work, flew all they way from U.S. to celebrate her birthday with us. She reserved 40 seats, and guess what, it’s buffet time! Just to warn you, this post will be picture heavy so get your data ready. 😂
One thing I learned, make sure you know how to go to the venue before hand. I thought Vikings in Mall of Asia was inside the mall itself (price to pay for being ignorantly lazy and a couch potato) but it was located far from the entrance, along the bay. So, I walk what felt like 4km just to get there. Everyone I ask told me that it’s tooo far. Oh well, a little exercise before eating’s not that bad. Except for the fact that you’ll get there all haggard and sweaty. lol.
Vikings: Luxury Buffet has been a crowd favorite for quite some time. One of the reasons why I don’t really eat at buffets is that, I’m a small eater. Small frequent eater?lol. So dining in a buffet is not a practical choice. But since it’s free, let’s make the most out of it!🙆
Don’t be intimidated on how fancy the place looks. They offer rates that will surely be worth your money or you can celebrate your birthday here so you can avail of their birthday month promo! They have different rates for lunch and dinner, and also if it’s weekday or weekend. Food may also vary through the days. You can check the updated rates here.
For those who read my blogs and knows me personally, you know this is my favorite station. MEAT and more meat! Though, I just tried their roasted beef, which was awesome btw. Partnered with mushroom gravy. But they do offer other variety of sauce like truffle, wine, liver etc. It’s unlimited! You just have to line up.
Next stop, more meat? This is the Kebab Station. Mind you, they grill everything from scratch so it’s freshly cooked when served. Yum!
Don’t get excited since they’re raw! Have them cooked first. lol. I want to take those jars home. 😍
You can also make your own pasta or just get their day’s special pre-made ones. For this day, it was carbonara.
Just look at all these spices! It’s spice heaven. Surprise your tastebuds and explore all those flavors using all of these choices!
Can you find a more elaborate congee station than this? Those toppings would make you full enough just by looking at it. And of course, the spice rack on your left side if you please.
Why not pair your congee with these soft, fluffy, and warm bread right here? Or you can just spread butter on them. Your choice really.
Buffet without japanese food? Not happening. Just look at those perfectly cut sashimi? They’re so fresh, it’s crazy.
This is a given. Assorted sushi at your disposal. To my dismay, I cant get a decent photo of their makis since it’s always empty. That’s how yummy they are.
I got vanilla ice cream for dessert topped with crispies and koko krunch. They also have green tea, choco, mint, cheese, and strawberry flavor. Yummy but too sweet.
From the regular lemon iced tea to kamias juice, they have it. Even their water has lemon, and cucumber infused options. I fancy their cucumber lemonade. Oh, and they have overflowing draft beers if you’re in for a celebration.
Last but not the least, Ava’s cakes! Look at the pretty rose yema cake, brazo de mercedes, Red Ribbon’s triple chocolate, and of course, the complimentary dessert greeting from Vikings.
There are a lot more food stations that I did not cover because, I was late so the only time I can take photos without people’s hands is after the rush. So, most of them are finished. You won’t be disappointed from all the varieties Vikings offer. If you haven’t tried it there, yiu should! Bring your family or better yet, celebrate someone’s birthday here.
